Tidewater Crewing Ltd. operates in the oil fields as Support for Oil Platforms, with a significant number of units afloat in many places of the world, with "deep sea ships" such as AHTS (Anchor Handling Towing Supply), OSV (Offshore Supply Vessels), DPS (Dynamic Position Supply), OCB (Offshore Crew Boat), Utility Vessels and others.

Gersan Ltd., As Tidewater Agent, qualify, classify and certify basically Officers with experience in this type of vessels and / or Officers with recognized maritime training, like as  graduates of the Navy School, Universities Career,  College or Institutes recognized by the Chilean Maritime Authority, who extended their International Qualification, either for Bridge or Engines Officers. This professionals could apply for provide his services to this American company, in the areas determinates for the Company, prior of this, our agency  have made a rigorous selection process, evaluating all of them in varied and demanding stages; among others like personal interview  mainly in English technical and conversational, presenting a framework of high demands for the functions to be fulfilled in any area to which they were assigned, besides explaining they clearly that its functions will be as team, with multinational staff, and his job is and will be always with high responsibility and maximum safety level, also with a great professional profile; for all of this, his productivity is weighted during their working periods.

Furthermore, complementing of the officer requirements, also our Agency qualify some Crew Members, when they are requested by Tidewater, the selection are under the same parameters in general. After evaluated by Gersan Ltda., the candidates mentioned above, are presented to Tidewater Crewing Ltd. USA, they as EMPLOYERS, receiving our assessments and they reserve the right to accept or reject the nominee. If the candidate is accepted, we proceed to conduct rigorous medical, dental, psychological and personality controls and after we proceed to visa processed in consulate or embassy of the country concerned, etc., all with  any cost for the applicant. Gersan Ltda. Is authorized and empowered to mediate and / or intervene with all his faculties, with to the Maritime Authorities, Consular, Embassies, Hospital, Transport and others that are necessary in Chile, for the full and proper performance of its functions as a protective Agent of its Principals, all under the rules of national legislation and STCW 95, amended (International directives that regulate the rules provided by IMO - International Maritime Organization) and since 2012 applying the latest standards of LMC 2006, effective from August 20 of 2013, as well, STCW 2010 (Manila Rules, 2011 Edition), IMO, ILO, etc.

Tidewater Crewing Ltd. opera en el rubro de Apoyo a las Plataformas Petroleras, con un importante número de unidades a flote en gran parte del mundo, con "naves de mar profundo" tales como AHTS (Anchor Handling Towing Supply),OSV (Offshore Supply Vessels), DPS (Dynamic Position Supply), OCB (Offshore Crew Boat), Utility Vessels, etc.
 
Gersan Ltda., como Agente de Tidewater, califica, clasifica y certifica básicamente a Oficiales con experiencia en este tipo de naves y/o a Oficiales con reconocida formación náutica, como lo son los egresados de la Escuela Naval, Universidades o de Carrera reconocida por la Autoridad Marítima de Chile, quien les extiende su Titulación Internacional, ya sea de Puente o de Máquinas.

Este personal podría postular para prestar sus servicios a la compañía norteamericana en las áreas que Tidewater determine, previo a haber efectuado esta agencia un riguroso proceso de selección, evaluándolos en variadas y exigentes etapas; entre otras, entrevista personal aplicando idiomas, especialmente inglés técnico y conversacional, presentándoles un marco de altas exigencias para las funciones que deberán cumplir en cualquier área a la que fuesen asignados, explicándoles además claramente que sus funciones serán en equipo, con personal multinacional, y el trabajo es y será siempre de mucha responsabilidad y máxima seguridad, como así también de un perfil profesional de gran capacidad; por lo que se pondera la productividad en su fuente laboral.

Así mismo, complementando los requerimientos de los señores Oficiales, también se califican a determinados Tripulantes, que puntualmente son solicitados por Tidewater, bajo los mismos parámetros en lo general.

Posteriormente, evaluado por Gersan Ltda., cualquiera de los postulantes antes señalados, son presentados a Tidewater Crewing Ltd. USA, EMPLEADORES que reciben nuestras evaluaciones, reservándose el derecho de aceptar o rechazar a la persona propuesta. Si ésta fuese aceptada, se procede a efectuar rigurosos exámenes médicos, dentales, controles psicológicos, de personalidad, trámite de visa en Consulado o Embajada del país que corresponda, etc., sin costo alguno para el tripulante.

Gersan Ltda. se encuentra autorizado y habilitado para intermediar con todas sus facultades ante las Autoridades Marítimas, Consulares, Embajadas, Hospitalarias, de Transporte y otras que fuesen necesarias en Chile, para el completo y buen desempeño de sus funciones como Agente de sus Principales, todo bajo el marco de las normas legales nacionales y del STCW 95, enmendado (Normativa Internacional que regula las normas dispuesta por la OMI – Organización Marítima Internacional) y desde el 2012 aplicando las ultimas normas de la CML 2006, vigentes desde 20 de agosto de 2013, como también, STCW 2010 (reglas de Manila, edición 2011), OMI, OIT, etc.
